Helping Hands
The Discipleship & Mission Committee is starting a new
ministry called Helping Hands. We realize as you grow older
you often lose visual acuity, balance, flexibility, and strength.
You may have tasks around the house that need doing, but you
hesitate to call a professional to help you because a small task
would be too expensive.
We have volunteers from the church to help you
with tasks that may be difficult for you. Several church
members have volunteered to help. They can help with tasks
that require visual acuity such as threading needles or tightening
loose screws. They can help with tasks that require balance
such as getting on a ladder to change a light bulb or to brush
leaves off the roof. They can help you with tasks that require
flexibility or strength such as raking leaves or cleaning out your
garden.
If you have needs, please call the church office
and leave a message describing the task along with your name and
phone number. A volunteer will call you to schedule an
appointment to take care of your task.
