Rev. Combs-Francis has been in the ministry for more than thirty year and has served numerous churches throughout Oklahoma. Sheila was born in Ft. Smith, AR. She recieved her undergraduate degree in music from John Brown University; graduate degree in music from Texas A&M; masters in divinity from Phillips Graduate Seminary; and doctorate from SMU. Rev. Combs-Francis is married and has one wonderful daughter.

Mrs. Rummel attended college at both the University of Oklahoma and Northwestern Oklahoma State University. Erin is married, and the Rummel family has one son. In her spare time, Erin enjoys spending time with her family and traveling.

 

 

Sarah Black, Music Director Sarah Black, Music Director

Mrs. Black has been part of New Hope UMC all of her life. Sara began singing in the choir with her parents at the age of twelve. She also played the piano for evening services when she was in Jr. and Sr. High. Sara directed the choir from 1984 to 1989, again from 1993 to 1997, and resumed her duties as Music Director in 2004. Sara is married, and the Black family has two daughters.

 

 

Jim Hudson, Handbell Director Jim Hudson, Handbell Director

Mr. Hudson has been a member of New Hope UMC from the church's beginning. Jim has long had a passion for music here at New Hope. He currently sings with the chancel choir and with the mixed gospel quartet Dab 'O Glory. Jim has also been a member of the handbell program since it's humble beginnings; he as taken on the roll of director for past several years. Jim is married; he enjoys golfing, pitching horseshoes, art, and spending time with family.

 

 

Debbie Hart, Accompanist Debbie Hart, Accompanist

 

Mrs. Hart has been a member of the Methodist church since birth. Debbie began singing in church at an early age, and at twleve years old began accompanying the congregation on organ and piano. For twenty-nine years she taught famly and consumer sciene in the Enid Public School System. Now in retirement, she enjoys singing with the chancel choir and the mixed gospel quartet Dab 'O Glory. Debbie is married.
